Kyle Davis is a singer/songwriter who blends conventional confessional styles with a strong melodic sense and a penchant for narratives and clever lyrics. He built a loyal local following, and has recorded an album for the local indie label, Cellar Door Records. Davis' second album, "Waiting for You" was released on the indie Windmark Records with Don Dixon at the helm producing and helped Davis land tour dates with Bob Dylan, Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega and Blues Traveler and Dave Mathews, among others.
Its success led to Davis being featured on the cover of Billboard magazine, named one of the best unsigned artists of 1995. Shortly after the release of "Waiting for You" which garnered a growing support of airplay across the country, legendary producer Phil Ramone was launching his own label, N2K Music [Sony], and he offered to sign the songwriter. Davis' first album for the label was 1998's "Raising Heroes", which was produced by Dixon / Ramone. It produced a single "Buried Alive" which charted very well on AAA radio.
In fall 2000, "Don't Tell the World" was released. The year 2003 brought "God love me", released on Universal Records. Since that time, Kyle has produced his own and others' records. He has drifted into the admusic and music for TV realm, as well as singing and playing on records from The Blue Dogs to Bruce Hornsby.
